Really Excited about this upcoming season. Above is a pic from some pilot service work from last summer. We have great clients and keep making new friends along the way. Just returned from an aircraft purchase and ferry flight up to AK. We head out this week to trailer up an EXP Cub/Parts from the lower 48. This winter was busy with travel and some aircraft deals down in the gulf coast area. The big news is we are expanding! We are building an additional shop building for storage of disassembled aircraft and parts. It will be located conveniently next to our current location and landing strip. We hope you all have a prosperous 2025!

What’s Up?

Wow life has not been any less busy. We have moved several aircraft this last year. The first of the year found us returning to Alaska after a two month road trip of buying, selling and brokering several aircraft in the lower 48 and dragging home a Stinson 10. We made some great new airplane friends along the way. We also found some time to finish the wings for the PA-12 project while we were home.

We have been busy!

That’s most of us…I don’t have many friends sitting around trying to find something to do to fill their days. We have had some great times ferrying some cool planes back and forth to the the “Lower 48” and buzzing around Alaska. Trips: Helped a CA friend purchase and get checked out in a PA-24, Ferry a C-180 to the upper PA. Bring a C-182 up from CA and probably the best was picking up a newly rebuilt Otter from Recon in Canada. What a trip up to Alaska in the winter! We also did several local deals here in Alaska. Still doing pilot services for some of our local float operators. The PA-12 is finally getting covered in between the above activities.

Wow 2020 in Aviation and Breaking News!

We had a crazy year like the rest of you! At Wings AK it started out by finishing out the interior of the hanger. My office manager and I took a trip to Hawaii and then home to all the Covid shut downs. Good for us we live in an area not that effected. So by May it was back on floats with a great local Company flying Beavers. Tragically I lost two good friends in a midair accident mid season. That made for a tough for the rest of the summer. Being a small family owned company we all stuck together and flew on through the storm. Currently we are building the Piper PA-12. I will post the build pics on my back to life page. This one is a “Do you believe in miracles” build? OK Breaking News! The Stinson was sold to a great guy in the Anchorage area so you will still see it out and about. Kinda werd for the Stinsondude. The good news is I just purchased a 1955 Cessna 180 from my cousin. It is currently in our shop getting a new FWF. Looking forward to the build and getting it out and about in Alaska.

Alaska Summer on the water!

Flying a three month float plane contract this summer. I am very much enjoying the people I am getting to know and the aircraft I get to fly. I am flying a Cessna 206 and a Beaver on floats. I am hoping to get the PA-12 in a jig soon. We are building a PA-12 on floats this coming winter!
